Benvenuti! Welcome to our site!
As you prepare to embark on your journey for Italian Citizenship, this site will serve as an informational hub to prepare you to present your application to the Italian consulate.
Here we will answer your most frequently asked questions.
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Notice
All consular services within the worldwide Italian consular network are only offering limited services for proven emergency situations (i.e. emergency passports for repatriation, consular legal assistance). This means many citizenship and regular passport appointments are cancelled. We do not have a crystal ball. Until the current health crisis has abated back to normal levels, there is no estimate when regular consular services will be restored.
Please remember this is an unprecedented situation – civil offices in Italy, the United States, and around the world are currently dealing with more important matters than citizenship and passports. Respect and accept that your request is not high priority (even if you may think it is – it’s not).
Please check your Consulate’s page for the most up-to-date information and refrain from posting speculative or inquiring posts about COVID-19 on our Facebook page.
DO YOUR PART: Respect all local ordinances and executive orders regarding quarantine and social distancing in your respective jurisdiction. While you may be low risk, others you may come into contact with have family members that are high risk. Help to #flattenthecurve and WASH YOUR HANDS. #RestoACasa
